The Alliance of Interpreters' and Translators' Organisations (ATVO) is a league of organisations and associations of interpreters and translators in the Netherlands. It is dedicated to promoting quality standards among the members through follow-up and refresher courses and continuing education. The ATVO also protects the interests of its members in the drafting of new laws and regulations concerning translators and interpreters.
Three ATVO board members share two seats in the quality institute formed by the Raad voor Rechtsbijstand (Legal Aid Board). The institute advises the Board and the Minister of Justice on policy implementation of the Dutch law on sworn interpreters and translators (the Wbtv, 11 October 2007).
