Congrestolken is a co-operative with some forty members, based in Amsterdam. Our aim is to provide our customers all over the world with quality interpretation and translation services and to help them organise successful multilingual conferences and meetings.
We have a network of over 2,700 professional AIIC conference interpreters in seventy countries. As members of AIIC, they are dedicated to providing excellent interpretation and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
Congrestolken is run from its head office in Amsterdam by managing director Lineke Hofdijk. She is assisted by the secretariat team and a board with four members.
Congrestolken was set up by Henri Methorst in 1959 and has been run as a co-operative since 1976. Since then, Congrestolken has seen rapid growth. Our interpreters work for high-profile clients across a range of sectors, in the Netherlands and abroad. Congrestolken was appointed as chief supplier of interpreters for the Dutch EU Presidency in 2004.
